Falkenhan’s Hardware is located in a building once known as Mt. Vernon Hall.  The first owner & original name of the store was Towsons’.  It was known as a hardware/general store.  The next owner was named Benson;  hence Bensons’ Hardware & Rug Cleaning.  My father, Frank Falkenhan, bought the store & building in 1968 & changed the name to Falkenhan’s Hardware.  He operated the store (along with his plumbing & heating business) until 1988, when he sold the store to Earl & Ken Klock.  They operated Klock’s Hardware until deciding to close in 1997.  Falkenhan’s Hardware was reopened on June 17, 1998 in the lower level of the building.  We are now in our 13th year of operation.
